AFTERCARE ADVICE FOR WAXING TREATMENTS

Redness/Erythema is expected after a waxing treatment and will go down after a few hours.

  1. Avoid the sun immediately after waxing and apply sun cream if this cannot be avoided.
  2. Avoid heavy exercise for 24 hours.
  3. Avoid Saunas, Steam Rooms, Jacuzzis and other heated sources for at least 24 hours.
  4. Avoid exfoliating products for 24 hours.
  5. Avoid tight clothing as this could cause irritation and ingrown hairs.
  6. Regular exfoliation in between treatments will help keep ingrown hairs at bay.

To avoid Ingrowing Hairs

Exfoliate and moisturise the waxed area regularly. An abrasive sponge, mitt or body scrub is perfect for this purpose and can be used in the shower. Remember to keep it clean and dry when not in use. For intimate areas ensure you choose an exfoliator suitable for sensitive skin.

Please ask your Therapist about our recommended Body Exfoliator, Exfoliating Cloth and Ingrown Hair Remover.

AFTERCARE ADVICE FOR NAIL TREATMENTS

CND SHELLAC AFTERCARE

  1. Always wear gloves when undertaking manual work, as well as washing dishes or coming into contact with any kind of chemicals.
  2. Some of the more delicate colours can fade slightly if one is in chlorinated water followed by excessive sun. Dry your hands and nails after swimming and before sunbathing to minimise any colour fading.
  3. Please use cuticle oil at least twice a day (especially at night before going to bed) to replace lost moisture to your skin and nails.
  4. Incorrect removal at home may damage the surface of your nails. Please contact Eden Beauty to have them removed or to purchase correct removal kit.
  5. Never use your nails as tools.

Please ask your Therapist about our recommended Cuticle Oil and Shellac Removal Kit.

GEL II AFTERCARE

  1. Always wear gloves when undertaking manual work, as well as washing dishes or coming into contact with any kind of chemicals.
  2. Be sure to apply your Cuticle Oil twice daily to promote healthy skin and nails. Daily use will prolong the life of your Gel II™ Manicure.
  3. When applying sunscreen lotion or insect repellents be sure to wash your hands immediately after application as they are known to cause possible breakdown of Gel Polish. Note: Applying a small amount of Gel II™ Cuticle Oil to your nails to act as a barrier beforehand is good practice.
  4. If you wish to apply nail varnish over your Gel II™ Manicure you may do so. When removing your nail varnish it is recommended you use an acetone free nail varnish remover.
  5. If you happen to notice a slight chip or nick in your Gel II™ Manicure or nail DO NOT pick, peel or lift it as it will cause damage to your nails.
  6. Please ask your Therapist how to remove your gel safely and without damaging the natural nail.

AFTERCARE ADVICE FOR TANNING TREATMENTS

How to maintain the Spray Tan

  1. Always allow your tan to develop for 8-12 hours before showering. The easiest way is simply to leave it on overnight.
  2. Always use a non-greasy oil-free moisturiser to prevent your tan from being prematurely stripped from your skin.
  3. Avoid swimming pools, long baths, steam rooms and saunas. Chlorine will remove your tan and anything which causes prolonged moisture on your skin (sweating, bathing) will speed up the rate at which your tan fades.
